LIVING ROOM REFRESH

IMG_6762.HEIC

LIVING ROOM, BEFORE

This living room was original to the 1950s home and was ready for some updates!    To amp up the curb appeal of the house, I removed the asymmetrical bank of windows and replaced it with two separate ones.

LIVING ROOM, AFTER

The living room is still light and bright despite losing some windows thanks to the new floor to ceiling windows and the addition of ceiling lights.

LIVING ROOM, BEFORE

This cased opening made the living room feel small and disconnected from the rest of the house.

LIVING ROOM,  AFTER

By removing the cased opening as well as a section of the stairway wall, I was able to make the room look and feel much larger without actually increasing its footprint.

LIVING ROOM, AFTER

Even if you don't have the space to expand a room, there is always a way to improve it!

LIVING ROOM, AFTER

With the cased opening gone, the room has a better flow with the rest of the house.

Performance velvet and animal print polish the space.
